\Speaking to E! host Heather McMahan, Einbinder shared, “We’re going to start [filming] next week, and knowing it’s the last season is really bittersweet. But I think it’s right, you know?” She added that it feels appropriate to conclude the show now, noting the importance of not overstaying their welcome.

“I think it’s nice to do something as many times as it should be done,” Einbinder said. “Not overstay your welcome. Rip it and do it and laugh and cry.”

Jean Smart Wins Fourth Emmy for Hacks Role

Earlier in the evening, Jean Smart won the Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for her portrayal of Deborah Vance on Hacks. This marks Smart’s fourth Emmy win for this role on the HBO Max series.
